From World Cup 2026 broadcasts to new projects: Beeline and the KFU discussed football development

The national mobile operator Beeline and the Kyrgyz Football Union plan to expand their cooperation after working together to organize broadcasts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The parties agreed on this during a meeting at the KFU office held on August 3.

From June 11 to July 20, 2026, Beeline Kyrgyzstan, together with the Kyrgyz Sport TV channel, broadcast all World Cup 2026 matches in the "Ukmush TV" mobile app. A dedicated studio was set up and a professional creative team was formed for this purpose. The broadcasts were in Kyrgyz and Russian and were available on smartphones, tablets, computers and Smart TV.

For Kyrgyzstan, this project was a real breakthrough. For the first time in the country's history, Beeline obtained media rights to broadcast the World Cup via the internet and mobile technologies. The cooperation of the national mobile operator with the Kyrgyz Football Union and the Kyrgyz Sport TV channel made it possible to extend the reach of TV broadcasts through digital platforms.

"This is the first time in all of Central Asia that such a project between a telecom operator and a sports TV channel has been implemented," said Beeline CEO Kubanych Shatemirov. "High viewership and positive feedback confirmed the audience's strong interest in quality sports content. We thank the Kyrgyz Football Union and the 'Kyrgyz Sport TV' channel for their effective cooperation and contribution to this large-scale project."

Mederbek Sydykov, General Secretary of the Kyrgyz Football Union, also expressed gratitude to Beeline Kyrgyzstan on behalf of the football community.

"This initiative became an important milestone in the development of the Kyrgyz Sport TV channel and fully aligns with one of our strategic goals — ensuring maximum accessibility of football and expanding its audience in Kyrgyzstan," said Mederbek Sydykov.

Following the meeting, Beeline Kyrgyzstan and the Kyrgyz Football Union confirmed their intention to formalize their partnership and implement a number of new joint projects aimed at developing football, sports broadcasts and digital services for fans in Kyrgyzstan. This means that football and quality sports content will soon become closer and more accessible to everyone in the country.
